My Story
Growing up in a family with an insurance background, I grew familiar with piles of paperwork and the constant ringing of the phones at a young age.
Sales calls are part of insurance, my parents knew this and always went on one. They said I was 'The perfect closer" maybe it was my age or my small ears, but we had a sales call every week. The experiences, faces, and emotions would always stick with me.
Fast forward 8 years the highschool would start and so began the constant message of starting a career in popular fields like medical, law, or engineering. I knew I needed to pick a career. I wanted a career where I could make a lasting impact and challenge myself in every sense. My family having been in the insurance industry for more than 15 years, this was of course a strong choice. Yet I wasn't convinced entirely.
Why Insurance?
August 23, 2017, Hurricane Harvey had made rainfall. That week my parents were multitasking non-stop between customer calls, insurance company claims, watching the news, and help any way we could in our community. This dedication, their action, their commitment is what transformed how I viewed insurance.
The impact insurance makes to families and businesses in need. When disasters or other unfortunate event occurs, insurance is the only protection individuals, families, and business have. Insurance helps them get back on their feet and continue to improve themselves, strengthen their family, and creating a lasting impact in their community.
Now, that's the power I believe insurance has.
I have no doubt I've picked the right career.
